Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction has launched an in-house training programme for staff looking to progress in the construction industry, specifically site management.
Ring Stones Futures will give Ring Stones staff the opportunity to embark on a bespoke training course that is tailored to suit each participant’s needs and current skill set.
This involves taking part in work shadowing and attending various courses such as First Aid, Fire Marshall, SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), HNC Construction, a three-day scaffolding course and IOSH Managing Safely amongst others, depending on the requirements of the individual.
Alongside work shadowing and holiday cover, participants will gain a variety of qualifications and experience across the duration of the course – approximately three-years – to legally enable them to run a site and potentially gain work as an assistant site manager in the future.
The Ring Stones Futures initiative has been set up to maximise potential of current staff after recognising there is a lot of untapped potential already within Ring Stones. The opportunity to develop individuals and enhance their potential and career progression will be possible through this programme, as well as benefiting the long term future of Ring Stones as a business.
James Macaree, Assistant Director at Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction said: “One of our main values is to continuously support and invest in our people. By setting up Ring Stones Futures, we are giving our staff members the opportunity to progress further in a familiar environment.
”I’m looking forward to seeing the outcomes of this project and how it will benefit both the current participants and those who choose to join us in the future.”
