A housing development in Nelson has welcomed new tenants after Calico Homes completed work on the project in partnership with Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction, Pendle Borough Council and Homes England.
The Priory Chase build began in December 2017 and was completed in May 2019 as part of a £4.3m project. This project is part of a 4 year plan to build 436 new homes across East Lancashire.
The project consists of 33 x 2 and 3 bedroom affordable rental homes, with each one featuring gardens, a driveway and downstairs toilet. This area of Nelson is highly sought-after and all the homes are now occupied.
Just four miles North of Burnley, and in close proximity the M65 and other local amenities, this makes Priory Chase the ideal location for families and commuters.
Lisa Bell, Development Manager at Calico Homes said: “This development has been well received within the area and is providing excellent quality affordable housing to the local community.”
Shaban Talib, Neighbourhood Co-ordinator at Calico Homes said: “The collaboration between Calico Homes, Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction, the local authority and Homes England has really made a difference to people’s lives. I am really proud of this development and the high quality accommodation it will provide for our customers.”
Priory Chase resident, Stephanie Readman, said: “I was very pleased to be offered this property; it’s lovely and the estate is in a quiet area which is ideal for my first home with my daughter.“
