The Syncora Board
The non-executive members on our Syncora Board play an important role in setting the direction of travel for Acorn, Delphi, SafeNet and Calico Enterprise, as well as ensuring the highest standards of governance and integrity underpin our work.
Richard Jones CBE, Chair of the Board
Bringing experience of local government and the NHS to the board, Richard has a strong set of values about fairness and equality. As Chair of the Syncora board, he is passionate about people and joined the Calico Group to support communities and people to be the best they can be.
Sallie Bridgen - Vice Chair
As Vice Chair, Sally aims to make things better and fairer for people who face discrimination and injustice. Having worked in homelessness services and charities throughout her career, she is focused on delivering the best services possible for customers and communities. Sally is passionate about ending poverty, improving education, and tackling climate change… and she’s a qualified yoga teacher too.
Mushtaq Khan
Holding vast experience of the housing sector, Mustaq understands the role housing associations can play in community regeneration and improving the quality of life for people. As a Burnley local, Mustaq believes social class is the biggest determinant of people’s success in life. He’s passionate about tackling inequality and supporting services in a community he knows and feels close to.
George Kimmance
As a board member under 30, George brings the perspective of his generation to the board. Part of the of The Housing Intelligence and Enforcement Taskforce for Liverpool City Council, he has over 7 years’ experience working for both social housing organisations and local authorities.
Joanne Peters
Joanne is a chartered accountant and consultant who works across Local Government, Housing and Charity sectors. She is passionate about supporting organisations to maximise resources for the benefit of local communities.
Cheryl Mould
Cheryl has worked in the care settings most of her career, currently enjoying her role as Director of Delivery at Liverpool Place (NHS Cheshire & Merseyside). Over the last 12 years working in various roles at Liverpool Place, she has gained a vast range of knowledge and skills relating to health care, which she brings to the board.
Mike Wedgeworth
After many years working in local government, Michael was ordained in the Church of England and remains an assistant priest at Blackburn Cathedral. Throughout his career, he’s worked in many health and well-being sectors and joined the Calico Group to be a part of providing vital services concerned with human flourishing; including housing, which is a ‘key determinant’ of health and wellbeing.
Kelly Shaw
Having previously worked for SafeNet Domestic Abuse Services – who are part of the Calico Group, Joanne is passionate about providing services and support to help people be the best they can be in life. Bringing a local perspective to the table, coupled with experience of operating at a strategic level, Kelly says it’s a ‘privilege and honour to give back to my local community’.
New Generation Board Member Programme
Our Boards help us run our organisation effectively. It is vital to us, and to the communities we serve, that these boards are made up of a diverse group of people and voices. This is where the New Generation Board Member Programme comes in. The programme is designed to attract a diverse range of individuals who have not been on a board before. Working alongside the Housing Diversity Network, we support them with gaining the knowledge and skills required to be in a position to apply for a full board member role on completion.
Tanique Daley
Tanique has over 15 years’ experience working in the housing sector and is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion.
Tanique speaks openly about all things EDI, previously publishing articles in Inside Housing and TFL on Anti Racism, diversifying and resident engagement. She was also delegate speaker at CIH Housing in 2024 and keynote speaker at the NHF 2023 conference.
Tanique has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Sociology, National Postgraduate Diplomas in Housing Practices and Leadership and Management. She is also a 2023 graduate of the GMHP BOOST programme.
Dylan Potter
Dylan has four years of experience in housing and currently works at Preston City Council as a Choice Based Lettings Coordinator.
Dylan has a wide range of qualifications, including a First-Class Honours Degree in Public Services, Social Policy and Governance. He has also completed Housing Health and Safety Rating System Practitioner Certification, Power BI Foundations Course and Data Analytics Foundations Course.
Outside of work, Dylan enjoys horticulture and photography. Whilst studying photography, Dylan saw the work of Nick Hedges (who was employed by Shelter when they first launched). This prompted his desire to work in the sector, in addition to lived experience.
