Delphi Medical’s Harrowside Wellbeing Centre in Blackpool has received a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) thanks to its team of dedicated staff.
The Harrowside Wellbeing Centre provides community substance misuse services for clients in Blackpool, particularly those who have stabilised their addiction and require psychosocial interventions to support their recovery.
Support provided includes one-to-one keyworker sessions, prescribing for detox and stabilisation, support with abstinence, volunteering opportunities, and more.
The report published by the CQC praised the targeted and specific support provided to vulnerable groups at the Blackpool centre, including clients who were homeless and pregnant.
The CQC also highlighted the ‘compassionate approach to understanding clients’ needs’ provided by the staff at Harrowside, that the service ‘welcomed learning, continuous improvement and innovation’, and that ‘the service was flexible to meet the needs of clients with caring or employment commitments’.
Emma Knape, Company Lead for Delphi Medical, said:
“We couldn’t be happier with the report published by the CQC, and that the passion and commitment shown by this team every day has been reflected with such a positive rating.
“The Blackpool team genuinely care about the people they support, and they are driven by this to deliver the best service they possibly can.”
