Calico is to hold a huge traditional community event in July at Towneley Park.
Brilliant Burnley’s Fantastical Festival, which will take place on Saturday 1st July, 9am-3pm, has been organised to celebrate all the fantastic things about Burnley and the people who live here.
A host of activities will be available at the Festival to keep all the family busy, including sports, live music and a fun dog show.
To celebrate the traditional skills of the people of Burnley and Padiham, there will be a range of competitions at Brilliant Burnley’s Fantastical Festival across a broad range of categories, including:
- Preserves
- Baking
- Drink making
- Sewing, stitching and knitting
- Art
- Handicrafts
- Flower arranging
- Photography.
There will also be an opportunity to find out more about some of the organisations that help make Burnley great, including:
- Participation Works
- Girls Up & Active
- Valley Street Textiles Studio
- ACORN Recovery Projects
- Mechanics Craft Group – Ground UP
- Ring Stones
- SafeNet
- Calico Enterprise.
