Emily O’Keefe, Accountant at The Calico Group, has been named Professional Services winner at the 2026 Sub36 Awards.
Hosted by Lancashire Business View, the awards celebrate talented young professionals from across Lancashire who are making a positive difference in their organisations, industries and communities.
Emily received the award at a ceremony held at Park Hall Hotel on 16 October, recognising the impact she has made through her work and professional development.
Since joining Calico five years ago, Emily has continued to develop her skills and knowledge while supporting the Group’s financial operations. Alongside her day-to-day role as an Accountant, she has balanced full-time work with studying towards her AAT qualification and taking part in an additional leadership programme with Burnley Council.
The Professional Services category recognises individuals who are building strong professional reputations through their expertise, commitment and the quality of their work. Emily was one of eight people shortlisted for the award.

Emily said: “Winning the award was completely unexpected, it was a difficult category with eight people shortlisted.
“It means a lot to be recognised for my hard work, especially over the last year where I have balanced full-time work with studying for my AAT and an additional leadership programme with Burnley Council.
“It wouldn’t be possible without the support from my colleagues & managers at Calico and I am really grateful for the time & development opportunities they have offered me over the past five years.”
Emily’s achievement reflects the importance Calico places on helping colleagues grow, develop new skills and reach their potential.
It is also a reminder of the talent and dedication found across the organisation, with colleagues making a difference in their fields while continuing to learn and progress in their careers.
