Acorn Recovery Projects clients celebrate recovery with graduation ceremony

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Acorn Recovery Projects clients in Stockport celebrated the completion of their detox programmes with a special graduation ceremony.

Family and friends were invited to the Quaker Meeting House in Stockport for an emotional celebration of the hard work and dedication the clients have made on their journey to recovery from addiction.

The ceremony began with a presentation from an Acorn Recovery Project employee about her close family member’s recovery journey and her experiences with the Family RAMP programme, which helps the relatives of people with addiction to learn more about the issues their loved ones are dealing with, and how to effectively support them.

An emotional film produced by BadKamra, Acorn Recovery Project’s sound and vision production company, was then shown, highlighting each of the graduates’ experiences with addiction and recovery.

The film features interviews with the graduates as they discuss their struggles with addiction, the impact this had on their lives and the lives of those closest to them, their determination to get clean, and their recovery journey with Acorn Recovery Projects.[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/22nW_swbH3o”][vc_column_text]The film was followed by speeches from the client’s family members, who spoke about how proud they were of their loved one for making it through the programme, and the difference they have seen in them now they are in recovery.

The event concluded with a presentation of certificates to commemorate their successful completion of their detox programme.

Acorn Recovery Projects provides a range of recovery services which enable individuals and their families to break free from drug, alcohol and other addictions.
