Barley View opens its doors for Care Home Open Day

Whitworth-based care home, Barley View, has opened its doors to the local community during a special event for Care Home Open Day 2019.

Care Home Open Day is an annual event where support providers across the country open their doors to showcase the fantastic work they deliver.

Barley View is a brand new, state of the art, 28-bed, two-storey facility which provides vital residential and dementia support.

To give the local community a flavour of the amazing work that is undertaken at Barley View, the staff and residents organised a fun Open Day to give people a chance to find out more about the service.

Attendees were able to see how much work at Barley View has progressed in the six months since the facility opened.

People were also able to meet residents and get a tour of the facilities, as well as take part in some fun summer activities, including tombola, a magician, a cake stall, and much more.

Nicola Crompton-Hill, Director of Health, Care and Wellbeing commented: “Barley View is a very special place with exceptional facilities; the open day reflected the commitment of the community, families and staff. The atmosphere and smiling faces told us that the day was a huge success”

Barley View is delivered by Whitworth Care, which delivers quality residential support, treating everyone as individuals with tailored support for each resident.
