We celebrated our LGBT+ staff and our inclusive, ‘One Calico’ workplace ethos at this year’s Manchester Pride.
Manchester Pride is an annual celebration of the city’s LGBT+ community, and one of the key events is a parade throughout the city centre with local charities and businesses.
This was the second time the Group, which employs over 750 people across the North West, has taken part in the event, which is one of the biggest Pride celebrations in the UK.
It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate LGBT+ staff from across the Group, and to show that they can be free to be themselves and feel supported without any kind of judgement.
We are passionate about supporting the LGBT+ community, and have recently launched “This Is Me”, a group which provides a safe space for LGBT+ staff to share their experiences, and to support each other wherever necessary.
This Is Me has had a big impact across the Group, opening up important conversations and increasing the visibility of LGBT+ staff.
