The Calico Group have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a voluntary agreement from the Group to demonstrate their support for the Armed Forces Community. The Group will use its variety of services on offer throughout the group to provide support for the Armed Forces Community.
The Calico Group currently work with a wide range of people who are in need, struggling to access employment opportunities, or who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness.
Calico has identified three areas of focus within the group to support the Armed Forces: providing support to access work and opportunities for employment, housing, and wider support for resettlement.
Phil Jones, Director of New Services at The Calico Group; ‘Signing the covenant is a demonstration of our intention to support people involved with the Armed Forces and recognising the valuable contribution they have and continue to make to our communities.’
‘The covenant is important to the group as the commitment means we are accountable to supporting the Armed Forces Community and therefore think about the actions we will take. It is also a sign to individuals in the Armed Forces Community, we are here to work with them.’
